We Came, We Sawed, We Creeked at Historic Mill Creek one of the Mackinac State Historic Parks.

Historic Mill Creek is a restoration of a saw mill and other buildings dating back to the 1780s. Archeological work is on-going, as is the restoration. The working saw mill fascinated The Ambassador, as did the demonstration of how logs were sawed into lumber prior to the building of the saw mill. Along with Colonial Michilimackinac and Fort Mackinac, both young diplomats enjoyed their fact finding tours.

The Official Photographer likes to take artsy-phartsy shots. Soon a place in Peasleburg will be set aside for TOP's favorite shots. The Secretary for World Exploration explores life in Revolutionary America. The Secretary enjoyed his exploration of the creek so greatly, that he couldn't leave without elaborating on his enjoyment.

Of course, both diplomats MUST explore the creek. Some temptations are even too much for such seasoned professionals. Again, The Official Photographer takes time away from official duties. The picture to the left also contains a view of these rocks.
